Watch: Joey Votto really wants to get Zack Cozart that donkey
David Kohl / USA TODAY Sports
In somewhat surprising news, Cincinnati Reds' Zack Cozart surpassed Corey Seager for National League All-Star voting among shortstops on Monday. Cozart, who has slashed .324/.411/.571 with nine home runs and 33 RBIs this season, has earned this consideration.
His teammate Joey Votto has promised him a donkey if he becomes an All-Star. And Votto really wants to get him that donkey. In the above video, Votto pleads with fans to continue voting for Cozart to punch his ticket to the Mid-Summer Classic.
All so he can gift him a donkey.
