Dani Alves' heart no longer bleeds black and white.

According to the Guardian's Fabrizio Romano and Sachin Nakrani, Alves told Juventus that he wants to leave amid interest from Manchester City. The Brazilian right-back is apparently keen to work under Pep Guardiola once again, and his agent had a meeting with the Old Lady on Monday in which the Italian club was made aware of the footballer's desire to move on, with the preference being a move to the Citizens.

One year remains on Alves' two-year contract, and City allegedly believes that a bid of around £5 million (€5.71 million) may be enough to secure a transfer.

During the four years that Guardiola and Alves worked together at Barcelona, the Blaugrana won the Champions League twice, La Liga three times, and the Copa del Rey on two occasions.

At the beginning of June, The Players' Tribune published a first-person story by Alves in which the Latin American full-back praised Guardiola. "If you turn the word computer backwards, it spells Steve Jobs," it read. "If you turn the word football backwards, it spells Pep. He is a genius. I'll say it again. A genius."

In 2015, Alves revealed Guardiola's interest in managing Brazil. The product of Esperte Clube Bahia told ESPN Brasil, as translated by the Guardian: "Pep said he wants to make Brazil a World Cup champion and had an entire strategy to make us a world champion. They didn't want it, because they said that they didn't know if Brazil would accept a foreign coach. Pep is the best coach in the world, the greatest sports manager I've ever seen. He revolutionised football, revolutionised a team and we had the chance to have him with us. If you let an opportunity like this go by, then you are not really thinking about the national team."
