Report: Kings offer max deal to RFA Otto Porter
The Sacramento Kings have reportedly offered Washington Wizards restricted free agent Otto Porter Jr. a maximum contract, according to Chris Haynes and Marc Spears of ESPN.
The contract would fetch Porter roughly $100 million over a four-year term. As a restricted free agent, however, Washington has the opportunity to match Sacramento's offer.
It was earlier reported that the Wizards would in fact match any offer Porter received, per Sam Amick of USA Today.
He reportedly has two more meetings that he'll take before making any contractual decisions, per an updated report from Haynes.
Porter's play took a notable step forward last season, as he averaged 13.4 points and 6.4 rebounds while shooting 43.4 percent from 3-point range.
Along with John Wall and Bradley Beal, Porter helped lead the Wizards to a fourth-place finish in the Eastern Conference last season. Washington was ultimately eliminated by the Boston Celtics in the second round.
