Dortmund won't 'wait much longer' for Aubameyang's suitors

Borussia Dortmund has told star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to get his business in order.

Aubameyang, 28, has been linked with a move away from the Westfalenstadion, and with 40 goals in 46 appearances last season, it's easy to see why. The club sounds willing to entertain offers for the Gabon international, though the window for a potential move is set to slam shut.

Refreshingly candid, Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke admits that he understands if Aubameyang fancies leaving, though it'll be on the club's ledger and not the player's.

"If you want to move somewhere, and you have a club willing to meet our demands, then come to us and we'll talk," Watzke told German newspaper Welt am Sonntag, courtesy of Sky Sports.

"But this will only apply within a certain time window, which is slowly closing. We would clearly need to get a replacement for him, which is difficult to impossible in any event."

With Dortmund's league campaign slated to kick-off August 19th when Peter Bosz's lot visit Wolfsburg, Watzke says that while a formal offer has yet to be tabled, the time to do so is running out.

"We will wait for a couple more days, but not for much longer. There are no offers on the table for him so far," Watzke added.

"There are a few clubs on this planet where he can obviously earn more."
