Watch: Oezdemir needs just 42 seconds for KO win over Manuwa

The clock couldn't even reach the one-minute mark before Volkan Oezdemir stopped Jimi Manuwa on Saturday night.
Oezdemir separated from an early clinch with a few short, yet powerful strikes, and the pursuit that followed led to a major blow that put Manuwa on his back. The Swiss star then came in for the finish, forcing the official to stop things just 42 seconds in.
The outstanding effort from Oezdemir, upsetting the third-ranked Manuwa, could very well vault him from his spot as the No. 5 light heavyweight contender to championship contention.
A fifth consecutive victory, and second by first-round stoppage, gives Oezdemir a 15-1 professional record. Manuwa, who's been waiting in the wings for a title shot, drops to 17-3.
