J.R. Smith sounds off on Stephen A. Smith over Trayvon Martin comment
If you come at J.R. Smith, you best not miss.
The Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard took to Twitter on Saturday to call out broadcaster Stephen A. Smith over his recent comments condemning him for wearing a hoodie on the bench.
This man is always reaching. What does me wearing my Hoodie on the bench have anything todo with reminding “white people” of #trayvon

He's referring to this recent rant from the "ESPN First Take" host:
And in Game 1 when they played against Boston, J.R. Smith was sitting on the bench in the fourth quarter with a hoodie on. I don't know why the hell Nike made these damn uniforms that have hoods attached to it, by the way. You got a lot of those white folks in the audience that's gonna think this is Trayvon Martin being revisited. And I'm not joking about it. The bench is no place for somebody to be wearing hoodies.
The Cavs veteran responded saying people shouldn't forget about Martin, a 17-year-old who was wearing a hoodie when he was shot and killed in 2012 by George Zimmerman. He also doesn't understand why he was singled out when he's far from the only person in the league who wears a hoodie.
One they shouldn’t forget about him! An 2 how does me out of all 450+ Nba players. Like seriously keep my name out ya mouth. @stephenasmith
