Former NFL head coach and current ESPN analyst Herm Edwards says he'll interview for Arizona State's open head coaching position this weekend, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Edwards was most recently the Kansas City Chiefs' head coach from 2006-08. He was previously head coach of the New York Jets, and assistant head coach/defensive backs coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
His lone coaching position at the college level was as defensive backs coach at San Jose State from 1987-89.
He has a career regular-season record of 54-74, while going 2-4 in the postseason.
Arizona State fired head coach Todd Graham on Sunday following a 7-5 season, finishing second in the Pac-12 South Division.
