Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr believes today's NBA players are underappreciated by fans.

During an appearance on 95.7 The Game's "Willard & Dibs" show Wednesday, Kerr explained why he thinks the NBA is "being taken for granted" while highlighting the recent 52-point performance from Stephen Curry and Nikola Jokic's 61-point game.

"You know what I was thinking while watching Steph last night, watching Jokic? If these types of games had happened 10 years ago, honestly, I think NBA fans would have been absolutely losing their minds," Kerr said. "And I think what's happened is the players have gotten so skilled and they're doing such amazing things. I think our game is being taken for granted right now.

"What these guys are doing is so spectacular. I never could've survived the NBA if I were playing today. I couldn't have survived. These guys are so talented, they're so good. And it's like, you read these articles, like, 'The NBA product isn't that great.' Are you kidding me? Are you looking at these guys? They're just spectacular and they've never been more skilled, and I'm just blown away by what I see night after night."

Curry finished with 52 points, including 12 3-pointers, in the Warriors' 134-125 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday. He also passed Jerry West for 25th on the NBA's all-time scoring list and is now tied with Damian Lillard for the sixth-most career 50-point games in league history with 15.

Jokic's 61-point performance also came Tuesday in the Denver Nuggets' 140-139 double-overtime loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. It was the highest point total by an NBA player this season and a career high for Jokic.
