Trae Young notches NCAA record-tying 22 assists in win

Trae Young is making history.
The Oklahoma freshman tied the NCAA Division-1 record for assists in a game with 22 on Monday against Northwestern State.
The 19-year-old guard tied the franchise freshman assist record with 13 in the first half and finished with nine more to only four turnovers.
He also paced the No. 17 Sooners with 26 points on 9-of-17 shooting from the field and 3-of-6 from 3-point range in the 105-68 victory, becoming the first player in the last 20 years to register at least 20 points and 20 assists in a contest.
The performance helped bump his season averages to an NCAA-leading 28.8 points to go along with 8.9 assists, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.1 steals over 32.7 minutes.
