Watch: LA Galaxy unveil Ibrahimovic with flashy, lion-starring video
"Los Angeles, welcome to Zlatan."
The LA Galaxy revealed their newest signing Friday, announcing Zlatan Ibrahimovic's arrival with a video of the towering Swede alongside a lion.
Playing on the former Manchester United striker's claim that "I am a lion, not a human," the video confirms the move a day after his deal with the Red Devils was terminated by mutual consent. Ibrahimovic also took out a full-page ad in Friday's LA Times in the 36-year-old's trademark bombastic tone.

Set to assume an international roster spot pending the receipt of a P1 visa, Ibrahimovic has been signed using Target Allocation Money (TAM). The Galaxy's three Designated Player slots have already been designated to the Dos Santos brothers, Jonathan and Giovani, and French winger Romain Alessandrini. As per MLS policy, additional details of the signing have not been released, though reports suggest a two-year deal with $3 million in wages.
"Coming to play in the United States, it is only fitting for me to join the most successful team in Major League Soccer, the LA Galaxy," Ibrahimovic told the club's official website. "I am excited to join a club with a winning legacy that has embodied soccer in Los Angeles for over 20 years. I would like to thank everyone at the club for making it possible to play for the LA Galaxy. I am looking forward to joining my teammates, playing at StubHub Center in front of our fans, and helping our team compete this season."
Ibrahimovic enlists with the five-time MLS champ on the heels of a knee injury that had kept him out of Jose Mourinho's squad since Boxing Day. The 116-cap Sweden international previously suffered serious knee ligament damage during the 2016-17 campaign.
