Denver Broncos linebacker Shane Ray requires wrist surgery after getting a second opinion, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Ray is expected to miss the start of the 2018 regular season as a result.
The 25-year-old faced numerous wrist issues over the course of the 2017 season, and was placed on injured reserve in December after undergoing his third operation.
Ray, selected in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft, recorded 16 tackles and a sack in eight games during the 2017 season.
