The Houston native will be staying home.
Gerald Green will return to the Rockets on a one-year, $2.4-million deal, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports.
The Rockets retaining Green could be crucial as fellow 3-point-shooting wing Trevor Ariza has reportedly left the team to sign with the Phoenix Suns.
Unemployed heading into December, Green became a crucial piece of the Rockets' rotation, averaging 12.1 points per game while shooting 36.9 percent from downtown and 85 percent at the free-throw line.
