Report: O'Quinn signs 1-year deal with Pacers
Free-agent big man Kyle O'Quinn has reportedly agreed to a one-year, $4.5-million contract with the Indiana Pacers, league sources told Yahoo Sports' Shams Charania.
O'Quinn declined his $4.3-million option with the New York Knicks in June. He signed a four-year, $16-million deal with them in 2015.
The 6-foot-10 center figures to enter Indiana's post rotation with Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis. He'll provide the Pacers with a strong interior presence, capable of rebounding and blocking shots at a high rate in spot minutes.
He averaged a career-high 7.1 points and 6.1 rebounds in 18 minutes per game.
Indiana continues a productive offseason, having also signed sharpshooter Doug McDermott and versatile guard Tyreke Evans in order to bolster the team's perimeter rotation.
