Report: West Ham in talks with Lazio to sign Felipe Anderson for £40M
West Ham United is showing no signs of slowing down this summer with news that the east London club is considering spending a club-record fee to sign Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson.
It's believed that West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini has identified the Brazilian as one of his top targets and that club officials are in the process of negotiating a deal to sign Anderson for a fee worth £40 million, reports Simon Stone of BBC Sport.
The Premier League side has already reportedly spent a club-transfer record of £22 million to sign Issa Diop from Toulouse in June and another £7.5 million for Lukasz Fabianski from Swansea City. West Ham also completed deals to sign Jack Wilshere and Ryan Fredericks on free transfers.

Anderson, who reportedly attracted interest from Manchester United during the January transfer window, has scored 34 goals in 177 appearances since signing with Lazio from Brazilian side Santos in 2013.
West Ham may not be finished even if Anderson joins, as Stone reports that the Hammers are plotting a move to sign forward Andriy Yarmolenko from Borussia Dortmund with a bid worth £17 million.
The club's aggressive approach on the transfer market thus far falls in line with assurances Pellegrini was given upon his appointment as manager in May. Co-owner David Gold predicted the Chilean would be allowed to spend more money this summer on signings than the club has spent during previous transfer windows.
Pellegrini began his reign with the club-record signing of Diop, though add-ons included in the agreement to sign Marko Arnautovic in 2017 could see the Austrian's fee paid to Stoke City rise from £20 million to £25 million.
After a dreadful start to the 2017-18 campaign, West Ham managed to rebound with a strong second half to finish the season in 13th place with 42 points.
