The United States will have a familiar face in the dugout during the 2026 World Baseball Classic.

Former big-leaguer Mark DeRosa will return to manage the team, USA Baseball announced Thursday.

DeRosa managed Team USA at the 2023 event, with his squad finishing runner-up to Japan after posting a 3-1 record in pool play.

The 50-year-old played 16 seasons in the majors with various teams and presently fills a studio analyst role with MLB Network.

USA Baseball also announced Michael Hill will be the team's general manager. Hill is MLB's senior vice president of on-field operations and was formerly the Miami Marlins' president of baseball operations.

DeRosa's staff will include familiar names, such as former big-league managers Skip Schumaker, David Ross and Fredi Gonzalez, as well as retired players Andy Pettitte, Brian McCann, and Michael Young.

Pool play for the World Baseball Classic begins March 5, 2026.
