Fulham are set for a Premier League return, and now, so too is Alfie Mawson.

The 24-year-old centre-back bids farewell to a two-year tenure with Swansea City to catch a ride with Slavisa Jokanovic's west London lot, joining the Cottagers on a four-year deal for a reported £15-million transfer fee.

"I'm really happy to get this over the line and join Fulham," Mawson told Fulham's website. "I'm excited by the project going on here and the football being played last season was lovely on the eye but also effective and I can't wait to be a part of it and get going."

An England Under-21 international on the cusp of the senior set-up, Mawson appeared in all 38 league affairs last year and scored the famous match-winner versus Liverpool that temporarily delayed the south Wales side's Championship fate.

Mawson becomes the latest signing in a compelling summer of recruitments for Fulham. Following a four-year spell in the second tier, Fulham have marked their top-flight return with remarkable moves for Jean Michael Seri and Andre Schurrle, with the latter making a return to England on an inexpensive loan. Aleksandar Mitrovic also agreed to a permanent move this summer after playing a vital role in the club's promotion campaign.
