Embiid after Game 7 loss: 'I don't give a damn about The Process'
Joel Embiid is taking the Philadelphia 76ers' Game 7 elimination Sunday at the hands of the Toronto Raptors hard. When asked postgame about his beloved "Process", the center wasn't in the mood to talk about it.
"I don't give a damn about 'The Process,'" he said, according to theScore's Joseph Casciaro.
Embiid was guarding Kawhi Leonard on the Raptor star's game-winning bucket, which torturously bounced on the rim four times before going in after the buzzer sounded. Embiid was emotional afterward, at one point spending several minutes crying.
Embiid had a bittersweet series against Toronto. While hampered by knee issues and illness at various times, he struggled offensively, shooting 36.3 percent in seven games. However, his presence as a game-changer was evident. He finished the series plus-90, and the Sixers' net rating was 19.3 points per 100 possessions better with him on the floor.
