Tomasino, who was projected by many to be a mid-to-late first-round pick, took a significant step forward in his draft year with a 48-point improvement over his 2017-18 production.
He also impressed at the Under-18 World Championship, racking up five points in six games.
The Mississauga, Ontario-born center wasn't among the top 25 goal scorers in the OHL in 2018-19, but he did lead the league with 12 game-winning markers.
Tomasino rose from 24th at the midterm to 14th in NHL Central Scouting's final rankings of North American skaters.
What they're saying
"He's been a lot more confident," Tomasino's Niagara teammate, Akil Thomas, told NHL.com's Aaron Vickers in February. "That's what I've seen the most. Now when he gets the puck he attacks the defenders and he has it in his mind that he's going to dominate the game."
