Report: Kings agree to 3-year, $37M contract with Cory Joseph
The Sacramento Kings have reached a three-year, $37-million deal with free-agent guard Cory Joseph, Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes reports, citing sources.
Joseph, an eight-year NBA veteran, served primarily as a backup in previous stops with the San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors, and Indiana Pacers. He spent the last two seasons in Indiana, where he appeared in every game and made 26 starts.
The 27-year-old is the third new player the up-and-coming Kings reportedly added on the opening night of free agency, joining Trevor Ariza and Dewayne Dedmon. Sacramento is also reportedly expected to re-sign Harrison Barnes on a four-year, $85-million deal after he declined his player option.
Joseph enters the 2019-20 campaign averaging 6.9 points, 2.8 assists, and 2.6 rebounds for his career.
