Report: Wolves set to sign Milan's Cutrone in deal worth up to €22M
Wolverhampton are close to completing a deal that will beef up their attack.
Forward Patrick Cutrone is expected to join the Premier League club from Milan in a transfer that could be worth up to €22 million (£20 million), according to Fabrizio Romano of The Guardian.
Wolves will pay the Italian side an initial fee of €18 million (£16.2 million), but that figure could rise by €4 million (£3.8 million) in add-ons.
The 21-year-old will undergo a medical in the coming days at Molineux before signing a five-year contract and committing to Wolves, Romano adds.
Cutrone, who signed a new contract with Milan last fall that runs until 2023, came through the Italian club's academy before making his senior debut in 2017 and leading the team in scoring with 10 league goals.
However, his production dropped off massively the following year, and he ended last season with just three goals in 34 Serie A appearances.
Krzysztof Piatek was preferred in attack following his €35-million transfer from Genoa in January, and he ended the campaign by finding the back of the net nine times for the Rossoneri, bringing his season total to 22 goals.
