Kings sign Ulis to reported partially guaranteed deal
The Sacramento Kings signed point guard Tyler Ulis on Tuesday, the club announced.
It's reportedly a one-year, $1.67-million partially guaranteed deal without an Exhibit 10, a source told ESPN's Bobby Marks.
The 23-year-old has a clean bill of health after undergoing double hip surgery and is expected to spend some time developing with the Kings' G League affiliate, according to James Ham of NBC Sports Bay Area.
Ulis was drafted 34th overall by the Phoenix Suns in 2016 after a breakout sophomore year at Kentucky.
The 5-foot-9 Ulis averaged 17.3 points and seven assists during his final collegiate season en route to winning the Bob Cousy Award as the nation's top point guard.
He averaged 7.6 points and 4.1 dimes across 132 appearances for the Suns before being waived after the 2017-18 season.
The former SEC Player of the Year spent last season with the Windy City Bulls of the G League. He averaged 23.3 points and 8.8 assists in four games before being shut down for the campaign due to a hip injury.
