Study: Brady most popular athlete for millennials to name baby after
Tom Brady is a popular inspiration for parents wanting to name their children after famous athletes.
A recent study by TickPick based on the U.S. Social Security Administration's Baby Name Database and a survey of over 500 parents found that the New England Patriots quarterback was the top athlete name among millennials.
Just over 20% of those surveyed said they would name their child after Brady, making him the No. 2 choice among all listed generations behind former soccer star David Beckham. Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton and Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre were also named in the study.
Brady's first and last names have both served as an inspiration to parents, including one Massachusetts couple who chose to name their first son Brady and their second Tom after him.
