Panthers send Trocheck to Hurricanes
The Florida Panthers sent forward Vincent Trocheck to the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for a package that includes forward Erik Haula, the team announced.
The Panthers are also receiving forward Lucas Wallmark and prospects Chase Priskie and Eetu Luostarinen.
Trocheck played in 55 games for the Panthers this season while notching 10 goals and 26 assists. The 26-year-old is two years removed from a 31-goal campaign, and there are two years remaining on his contract at a cap hit of $4.75 million.
Haula will be an unrestricted free agent after this season. The 28-year-old recorded 22 points in 41 games during his time with the Hurricanes this year. He previously played for the Vegas Golden Knights and Minnesota Wild.
Wallmark, 24, will become a restricted free agent at year's end. He's scored 11 goals and added 12 assists in 60 games so far in 2019-20.
Prospects Luostarinen (a second-round pick in 2017) and Priskie (a 2016 sixth-rounder) have spent this season in the AHL. Luostarinen played eight games with the Hurricanes in 2018-19.
