Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish has been charged with multiple driving offenses following a car crash during the coronavirus lockdown in March.

West Midlands Police announced Thursday that Grealish was charged with "driving without due care and attention, and failing to stop at or report a collision."

"Jack Grealish is accused of the offences in Waterside, Dickens Heath, Solihull, on Sunday, March 29. An investigation was launched after we responded to reports of a car hitting parked vehicles and the driver fleeing on foot," the police statement adds.

Grealish issued an apology on March 30 for violating government-mandated lockdown orders after reports surfaced that the England midfielder was driving a Range Rover that struck two parked cars.

The 24-year-old is scheduled to appear before the Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Aug. 25.
