Tiger Woods will take part in his first PGA Tour event since the COVID-19 pandemic at the Memorial Tournament beginning July 16, he announced Thursday.
This will mark Tiger's first PGA Tour tournament since he finished 68th at The Genesis Invitational in February. However, Woods did play in "The Match" alongside Peyton Manning against Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady in June.
Tiger has won five times at Muirfield Village: 1999, 2000, 2001, 2009, and 2012. Jack Nicklaus, Hale Irwin, Greg Norman, Tom Watson, and Kenny Perry are the only other players to win the tournament multiple times.
