Report: Pelicans trade Holiday to Bucks for Bledsoe, Hill, three 1st-rounders
The New Orleans Pelicans are trading Jrue Holiday to the Milwaukee Bucks for Eric Bledsoe, George Hill, three first-round picks, and two future pick swaps, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Holiday is coming off the three most productive seasons of his career. He averaged 19.1 points, 6.7 assists, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.6 steals this past campaign while shooting 45% from the field.
The 30-year-old has one season remaining on his contract plus a player option for the following campaign, according to Spotrac. He's set to make just over $26 million in 2020-21.
Milwaukee is coming off a disappointing second-round playoff exit at the hands of the Miami Heat. Superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is entering the final year of his deal.
Bledsoe, meanwhile, was third on the Bucks with 14.9 points and second with 5.4 assists per game. The two-time NBA All-Defensive Team member has three years remaining on his contract.
Hill isn't the same offensive producer he was with the Indiana Pacers and Utah Jazz, but he can still shoot the ball. The 34-year-old connected at a league-best 46% clip from beyond the arc last season.
