Watch: Rodgers trolls Adams in hilarious comparison to Lazard
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers couldn't have found a better way to describe wide receiver Allen Lazard after practice Wednesday.
Rodgers praised Lazard by trolling Raiders wideout Davante Adams, who seemingly compared the reigning NFL MVP to Las Vegas quarterback Derek Carr.
"I mean, it's always tough going from Hall of Famer to Hall of Famer," Rodgers said. "From Davante to Allen, it's gonna be a transition, but he's capable of a lot."
Adams, whom the Packers traded to the Raiders in March, became a trending topic around the NFL last week after he said it's always an adjustment to "change quarterbacks from Hall of Famer to Hall of Famer." Adams has since clarified his comments.
Rodgers, who formed one of football's top duos with Adams in recent years, is confident that Lazard will be able to stand out on Green Bay's new-look wide receiver depth chart.
"He's been working hard," Rodgers said. "He has a lot to prove to himself and maybe to the team as well ... It'll be an adjustment for us, but I'm happy with Day 1."
