Pat Tabler will no longer be a part of Toronto Blue Jays broadcasts, Sportsnet announced Friday.
Tabler, who won a World Series with the Blue Jays as a player in 1992, had worked in the team's booth since 2001. He started his TV career as a studio analyst for the club in 1993.
"For the last 32 years, first as a player for the Blue Jays and then as a broadcaster, it has been my honor to serve you," the 64-year-old said in a press release. "I hope that I represented you with the class and dignity that you deserve. It was a great run, but all good things have to come to an end."
Tabler partnered with longtime Blue Jays broadcaster Buck Martinez, who returned to work in July after stepping away earlier in the season to undergo cancer treatments.
