Michael Beasley would '100%' rejoin Lakers if they called
Michael Beasley is open to a reunion with LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.
The 34-year-old forward, who last played in the NBA during the 2018-19 season with the Lakers, told TMZ Sports he'd be willing to rejoin his former team if they reached out.
"I'm down to do a lot. Yeah, 100%," Beasley said. "If they call, I ain't gonna let my pride get in the way, 100%."
Beasley averaged 7.0 points and 2.3 rebounds in 26 games with the Lakers before being traded to the Los Angeles Clippers, who waived him soon after. He also played alongside James with the Miami Heat and had stints with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, Milwaukee Bucks, and New York Knicks.
The Lakers sit 13th in the Western Conference with a record of 25-29. The team was reportedly looking to acquire another one of James' former teammates, Kyrie Irving, from the Brooklyn Nets ahead of Thursday's trade deadline but lost out to the Dallas Mavericks.
