New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones says he feels fine but is in some pain after exiting the team's 31-16 loss to the Miami Dolphins with a neck injury, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan.

Jones left the game after taking a big hit on a sack by Andrew Van Ginkel. He was briefly checked in the medical tent before leaving for the locker room.

The signal-caller said the soreness feels "similar" to an injury he suffered in the 2021 campaign, according to New York Daily News' Pat Leonard. The 26-year-old missed the final six games of that season.

Jones told head coach Brian Daboll "I'll be OK" after the contest, per Raanan.

Jones had an X-ray on Sunday and will go for other scans Monday, per Leonard. The club's Week 6 game is against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night.

The 6-foot-5, 221-pound passer completed 14 of 20 passes for 119 yards without any touchdowns or interceptions before he was ruled out of the game. He also had four carries for 24 yards.

New York signed Jones to a four-year, $160-million contract extension this offseason.

Veteran Tyrod Taylor replaced Jones. The 34-year-old backup completed nine of 12 passes for 86 yards in relief.
