Justin Jefferson had a message for NFL fans - particularly fantasy football managers - on Tuesday.

The Minnesota Vikings receiver said he won't rush back on the field while addressing several direct messages he's received regarding his return from injury.

"My health is way more important than you winning your fantasy games," Jefferson wrote.

Jefferson, the reigning Offensive Player of the Year, went on injured reserve Oct. 10 due to a hamstring ailment. The 24-year-old, who was a limited participant at practice last week, was listed as questionable pregame in each of the last two weeks but wasn't able to play. He's now missed six straight contests.

With Minnesota's bye coming after the team's Week 12 game against the Chicago Bears, head coach Kevin O'Connell said the Vikings will be smart about Jefferson's return.

"He's really attacked his rehab, and I think when that time comes, we'll feel comfortable with Justin being out there," O'Connell recently said, according to ESPN's Kevin Seifert. "I know Justin will as well. It's one of those things that, knowing you have the bye, and knowing there are five critical (games) to come after that bye, we do have to be smart."

He added: "Justin means a lot more than just these five or six games (left), as critical as they are. His long-term career here is the priority."

Jefferson caught 36 passes for 571 yards and three touchdowns in five games before being sidelined this season. The fourth-year wideout led the league in catches and receiving yards in 2022.

Surprisingly, Minnesota has posted a 5-1 record since Jefferson went down. With journeyman quarterback Joshua Dobbs, standout rookie receiver Jordan Addison, and Co., the Vikings are currently 6-5.

However, injuries have been a big issue for the offense, as quarterback Kirk Cousins also sustained an Achilles injury last month.
