New York Knicks fans hoping to see Anthony Edwards land in the Big Apple one day may be out of luck.

In a video posted on TikTok this week, Knicks fans can be heard trying to recruit Edwards during New York's 115-110 preseason win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Oct. 13. Edwards was quick to shoot them down, though, explaining how he didn't want to be booed by the Knicks faithful whenever he has a bad game.

"Y'all ain't finna be mad at me when I have an off game ... When I play bad, y'all are gonna be like, 'Boo!'" Edwards said. "Eighty-two games, I ain't gonna be good."

Edwards, the No. 1 overall pick of the 2020 NBA Draft, is in the first year of a five-year, $260-million rookie max extension he signed with the Timberwolves in July 2023.

The Timberwolves and Knicks will face each other for the first time in the regular season on Dec. 19 in Minnesota.
