Tyreek dismisses surgery: I'll play 'even if I have to cut my wrist off'

Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill isn't even considering the possibility of being unavailable while dealing with a torn ligament in his left wrist.

"I've been talking to a lot of people about this particular injury. ... It's going to get worse, the more I play ... But I'm here, I'm locked in, no matter what. No matter how I feel. Even if I have to cut my wrist off," Hill said Thursday, according to Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post.

Hill was listed as questionable but played in Monday's win over the Los Angeles Rams, catching three passes for 16 yards and one touchdown, his first score since Miami's season opener. The All-Pro wideout - who led the NFL in receiving in 2023 - said earlier this week the injury has been bothering him since training camp.

"Surgery was brought up," Hill added Thursday.

The speedster says he isn't considering a surgical procedure at the moment but won't rule it out during the offseason, according to Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald.

Hill was on the practice field Thursday, notes Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk.

The eight-time Pro Bowler is having a down season by his standards, having caught 37 passes for 462 yards and two touchdowns through nine games.

The 3-6 Dolphins host the 2-7 Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
