Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler will miss at least two more games for "return to competition reconditioning," the team announced Friday.
Butler will remain in Miami and rejoin the club following its three-game road trip.
The six-time All-Star has missed the team's last three contests due to illness.
Butler has been the subject of trade rumors in recent weeks. However, Heat president of basketball operations Pat Riley shut down the notion of a trade Thursday in a team-issued statement.
Butler's averaging 18.5 points, 5.8 boards, 4.9 assists, and 1.3 steals across 20 appearances this season.
Miami sits sixth in the East with a 15-13 record entering Friday's slate of games.
