Hartman gets in-person hearing for roughing Stutzle
Minnesota Wild forward Ryan Hartman will have an in-person hearing for roughing Ottawa Senators star Tim Stutzle on Saturday, the NHL's Department of Player Safety announced Sunday.
Hartman earned a match penalty after he drove Stutzle's head into the ice on a faceoff.

A match penalty means the incident is subject to automatic review by the league, while an in-person hearing opens the door for a suspension of five games or more.
Stutzle was bloodied but stayed in the game. The Senators scored three goals on the ensuing five-minute power play en route to a commanding 6-0 victory.
Hartman and Stutzle got chippy with each other earlier in the game. Stutzle received a two-minute minor for slashing, while Hartman was handed a double minor for roughing and embellishment.

Hartman has been suspended four times in his career for a total of seven games. The last incident came in April 2024 when he threw his stick in the direction of an official.
Stutzle has registered a team-leading 52 points in 52 games this season.
