Report: Kamara prefers to stay with Saints amid trade interest
New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara has been the subject of trade interest, though he prefers to remain with the franchise, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Saints general manager Mickey Loomis let Kamara know about outside interest in him. However, the running back told Loomis he wants to finish his career in New Orleans, sources told Rapoport.
Kamara is reportedly among several Saints who are likely to be involved in trade chatter, including wide receiver Rashid Shaheed, pass rusher Carl Granderson, offensive lineman Dillon Radunz, and linebacker Pete Werner.
The Saints' 1-4 record - worst in the NFC - makes the franchise a perceived seller ahead of the Nov. 4 trade deadline.
A five-time Pro Bowler, the 30-year-old Kamara would be a valuable addition to the backfield of any contender. The dual-threat back has compiled 7,062 rushing yards and 4,839 receiving yards over his career.
Kamara is under contract through 2026.
