Report: Bengals seeking 1st-round pick for Hendrickson
The Cincinnati Bengals are requesting a first-round pick in exchange for pass-rusher Trey Hendrickson, sources told The Athletic's Dianna Russini.
Teams are calling the Bengals about multiple players ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline, but the franchise has held its high asking prices, Russini adds.
Cincinnati is 3-6 entering the deadline, while Hendrickson is on the final year of his contract, which makes him an enticing trade candidate.
Hendrickson and the Bengals have had a turbulent past couple of years, as the two sides couldn't agree on a new long-term deal in either of the last two offseasons. However, they compromised this summer and agreed on a pay raise for 2025.
The 30-year-old has been nursing a hip injury that sidelined him for the Bengals' 47-42 loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
The four-time Pro Bowler led the NFL with 17.5 sacks last season, his second consecutive year posting that figure.
