Broncos fire OC Lombardi
The Denver Broncos dismissed offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi, the team announced Tuesday.
Denver also parted ways with wide receivers coach Keary Colbert and cornerbacks coach Addison Lynch.
Lombardi joined the Broncos in 2023 and helped the team claim the AFC's 1-seed this season with a 14-3 record. Denver reached the AFC title game, but their campaign ended with a 10-7 loss to the New England Patriots in blizzard conditions.
The Broncos averaged 23.6 points per contest in 2025, ranking 14th in the NFL.
Lombardi worked with head coach Sean Payton for several years on the New Orleans Saints and followed the experienced play-caller to Denver.
The Broncos' surprising decision to move on from Lombardi could open the door for quarterbacks coach Davis Webb to be promoted. Webb has had multiple head coaching interviews this cycle.
