Miyachi's previous encounter with Dutch football came in 2011, when Arsenal loaned him out to Feyenoord from January to May. He's since undergone loan spells at Bolton (2012) and Wigan (2012-13).
Despite only making six first-team appearances for Arsenal, the 21-year-old has developed a reputation for his blistering pace, which is often utilized on the left flank. He made his Champions League debut in Arsenal 2-0 win over Fenerbahce last August and appeared in his first Premier League fixture soon after, playing in the final 17 minutes of a 3-1 win against Stoke City.
While his game is still a work in progress, Miyaichi joining FC Twente provides even more reason to believe that he may never become a staple of Arsenal's first team.
