The San Diego Chargers have selected cornerback Craig Mager out of Texas State in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
Mager is an aggressive player that knows how to get physical with receivers at the line of scrimmage.
San Diego took fellow corner Jason Verrett in the first-round last year, giving them a decent duo to try to matchup with division rival Denver Broncos.

Strengths
- Has very good read/react quickness to see the play develop and drive on the ball to arrive simultaneously. (CBS)
- Plays with excellent fire and motor throughout the game. Loves to hit. Quick-twitch athlete with plus play strength and sudden change of direction. (NFL.com)
- Has ideal speed and adequate size to play outside at some point. Very willing tackler who pursues the ball until the whistle.
Weaknesses
- Instincts are average. Wants to see it first rather than anticipating. Allows too much separation in space. (NFL.com)
- May not have the cover skills to make it on the outside. May be moved to safety where he will be undersized.
- Has limited experience against top-end receivers at Texas State.
