VIDEO: ESPN's 'First Take' gets new Wale theme music

ESPN's "First Take," featuring Stephen A. Smith, Skip Bayless, and host Molly Qerim, is getting a new theme song, though the source of the tune is a familiar one.

Wale, who, along with Stalley, was responsible for the popular debate show's previous theme since 2012, dropped a new track entitled "Every Great Word" that features several nods to the sports world, including references to Oregon, James Harden, and the Based God's curse.

"Being asked to write the new theme song to 'First Take' is a big deal to me being such a big sports fan and former college athlete," Wale told Billboard. "I was honored when they asked me to write the current one and jumped at the opportunity when they asked if I'd write the new one."
