Report: Vernon Adams to try out for Redskins after Seahawks
Matt Kartozian-USA TODAY Sports
Vernon Adams is generating his fair share of interest as an undrafted free agent.
The former Oregon quarterback, who was quickly scheduled for a workout with the Seattle Seahawks following this weekend's draft, will also have a tryout with the Washington Redskins, reports Rand Getlin of NFL Network.
Adams is a playmaker from both within and outside the pocket, but teams passed him up through all seven rounds mainly due to concerns over his size.
Joining either team would allow him to develop his game as a backup upon making the transition to the NFL. Given the relative uncertainty regarding Kirk Cousins' future, though, Washington may provide the better opportunity for playing time down the road.
