Talib 'OK' after suffering gunshot wound to the leg in nightclub incident
Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib is "OK" after suffering a gun shot wound to his right leg during a fight at the V Live club in Dallas, Texas on Sunday morning, the team confirmed.
Talib was taken to Medical City Hospital. He was discharged from the emergency room later Sunday and moved to a hospital room, where he is expected to be released from soon, reports Jeff Legwold of ESPN.
His injuries are considered minor and not life-threatening, adds Cameron Wolfe of The Denver Post.
A patron pulled out a gun inside the club and shot one person. The confrontation then continued outside into the parking lot, where another person was shot, reports KDFW-TV.
A source told Mike Klis of The Denver Post that Talib described the gunshot wound as "accidental."
It's currently uncertain if Talib was the victim shot inside or outside the club.
The Broncos are scheduled to visit the White House on Monday for the Super Bowl 50 win, but it's unknown if Talib will make the trip.
