A calf injury may impact Chris Ivory's workload as the regular season gets underway.

The Jacksonville Jaguars running back is expected to play against the Green Bay Packers but not receive a full compliment of snaps, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.

Second-year back T.J. Yeldon could end up starting in his place as a result, Rapoport adds.

Ivory was limited in practice throughout the week and officially listed as questionable on Friday's injury report.

The fact that he'll be active can be taken as a positive sign for the severity of the injury going forward, but it could be at least another week before the Jaguars can get the full value out of their backfield tandem.

Ivory landed with the Jaguars as a free agent this offseason after racking up a career-high 1,070 rushing yards with the New York Jets in 2015.

Yeldon, meanwhile, is looking to build upon a rookie season that saw him tally 740 rushing yards and 279 receiving yards over 12 games.
