Report: Ownership's concerns about offense led to Bills firing Roman
The Buffalo Bills' surprise move to fire Greg Roman just two games into the 2016 season appears to have come from the very top of the organization.
Bills owners Terry and Kim Pegula were already upset with the way the offense performed under Roman last season, Vic Carucci of The Buffalo News reports.
When the Pegula's reportedly expressed their concerns about the unit to Rex Ryan on Friday, following a second consecutive defeat, the head coach opted to cut Roman loose.
Ryan downplayed the rumblings in his last media availability heading into the weekend, stressing that it was his decision but indicating ownership was on board.
Rex Ryan: "This was my move, 100 percent." Disputes idea that Greg Roman is scapegoat.

Shortly after the move, much of the reaction within the football community pointed to the fact it was Ryan's defense that let the team down in Thursday's 37-31 loss to the New York Jets.
The Roman-led offense accounted for 24 points on the night, despite taking the field with star wide receiver Sammy Watkins at less than 100 percent.
Running backs coach Anthony Lynn is taking over as Buffalo's offensive coordinator heading into a Week 3 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals.
