Carson Palmer diagnosed with concussion

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer was diagnosed with a concussion following Sunday's 17-13 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, head coach Bruce Arians confirmed postgame.

Arians said it would be tough for Palmer to play in Thursday's game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Palmer left the game in the third quarter after being driven into the ground on a sack by Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald. Prior to his departure, Palmer went 23-of-36 for 288 yards, a touchdown, and an interception.

Drew Stanton entered the game in Palmer's absence and struggled immensely, going 4-of-11 for 37 yards and two interceptions. It appears likely that Stanton will play Thursday.
