1st-round hopeful Reddick turns heads with impressive jumps, 40 time
Add Haason Reddick to the extensive list of players making an impression at this year's combine.
The Temple linebacker put his elite athleticism on display throughout Sunday's workouts, quite possibly confirming his standing as a first-round pick in the process.
Reddick began his day with a 36.5-inch vertical and an 11-foot-1 score in the broad jump, the latter of which was good for the third-highest at the position since 2006.
That explosiveness later translated to the combine's main event, as he blazed through the 40-yard dash in just 4.52 seconds with a 10-yard split of 1.60.
The only concern about Reddick's draft stock is where he'll play at the NFL level. Weighing in at 6-foot-1, 237 pounds, he's almost certainly too small to play the edge like he did in college.
His presumed transition to an off-ball linebacker remains something of a projection, but teams can undoubtedly be encouraged by both his athletic skill set and the promise he showed in that spot at the Senior Bowl.
Reddick put together a stellar senior season before turning his attention to draft prep, racking up 9.5 sacks, 22.5 tackles for loss, and one interception across 14 games.
