The Indianapolis Colts won't let another promising, young tight end walk away in free agency.
Jack Doyle has agreed to a new deal that will keep him in Indianapolis, forgoing the opportunity to test the open market, the team announced Tuesday.
Official terms of the agreement weren't disclosed, but Doyle returns to the Colts on a three-year contract worth $19 million with another potential $2 million in incentives, a source told NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
Doyle capitalized on an increased role following the departure of Coby Fleener last offseason, hauling in 59 receptions for 584 yards and five touchdowns while starting 14 of his 16 appearances.
The 26-year-old is now locked in as a key member of the Colts' offense, joining T.Y. Hilton, Donte Moncrief, and Dwayne Allen among Andrew Luck's top targets in the passing game.
