Colts to add Kamar Aiken on 1-year deal
The Indianapolis Colts will sign free-agent wide receiver Kamar Aiken to a one-year contract Tuesday, agent David Canter announced.
Aiken, who first broke into the league as an undrafted free agent in 2011, spent the past three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.
Though primarily a depth receiver for the majority of that stretch, he capitalized on his opportunity for an expanded role when injuries struck the Ravens' receiving corps in 2015.
Starting 14 of his 16 regular-season appearances, Aiken would finish the year with team highs in receptions (75), receiving yards (944), and touchdown catches (5).
The 27-year-old will join 2015 first-round pick Phillip Dorsett in a backup and sub-package role behind starting wideouts T.Y. Hilton and Donte Moncrief.
