The Los Angeles Chargers have re-signed running back Branden Oliver on a one-year contract, the team announced Thursday.
Injuries forced Oliver to miss the vast majority of the past two seasons, including an Achilles tear that sidelined him for all of 2016, but he should have plenty of time to be ready for upcoming year.
If indeed back at full health, the Chargers hope the Buffalo product can tap into the potential he flashed during an impressive rookie season back in 2014.
Starting 7-of-14 appearances on the year, Oliver racked up 582 rushing yards, 271 receiving yards, and four touchdowns.
